Quality and professional Standards Check training, and to the highest of standards which you would expect from a trainer with years of experience and coaching qualifications to name a few.    I am registered with the DVSA as ORDIT, and grade “A approved trainer”, providing the best possible and up to date in-car training for those seeking advice or training in preparation for their Standards Check. A.D.I’s are given options when they contact me, on support needed, e.g. in-car training or alternatively a 1:1 power-point-presentation packed with information and advice to reduce all the confusion that the Standards Check may pose on them.  This workshop based training is best suited for those who do not have a pupil available when training is booked, commonly as an alternative method of in-car training delivery.

Workshop Training: You will be guided through the 17 competencies on the SC1 (examiners form), illustrating each key element if it’s your 1st or even 2nd attempt at Standards Check.

If it is your last attempt, this would not be a method of training suggested.

In-car Training: You will be assessed in a chosen lesson with a real-life learner or FLH (full licence holder) on how you deal with all sections listed in the examiners guidance notes, known as “A.D.I1 form” which can be accessed online.  Based on the lesson-assessment outcome, feedback will be shared and development notes put in to perspective with aims and objectives to help the trainer work towards their goals to increase their chances of a successful outcome.  You will gain access to these notes via email to track performance and progress.

Most of the developmental needs will be in a client-led fashion, easily broken down into small bite size chunks making it more manageable to retain.

We believe in achieving the best results.  No one wants to settle for less, as a trainer within a fast growing industry, I will strive to help you achieve the best results.  I have a track record of excellent pass rates as shown on Google and Yell reviews, however I do not guarantee 1st time successful pass-rates as this depends on many factors, such as the time you invest in training, the reading material we provide you with to help you prepare, and further to this; putting the time and work in to your pupils in a live lesson to transfer the learning which you had learnt with your trainer.    Currently our workshop material is modern, to date and in line with the National Standards for Driver and Rider Training.

I offer Standards Check training at your nearest or chosen test centre at your convenience. This will benefit the trainer to look at a pre-planned route for the actual test.  I cannot stress how important the route is, as it needs to be relevant to the agreed subject and suitable for the pupil’s current needs and abilities to deal with different situations over a complexed route which could put a less experienced driver at further risk.

If you have recently undertaken a Standards Check and were not successful, we would ask that you bring your marking sheet with you to your initial training assessment to be reviewed, so that your trainer can suggest a plan to be put in to place to further any developmental needs.
